5 ways to get involved in your community

We know lots of our students do incredible things in and around Liverpool. If you’re interested in getting more involved in your local area, you might like to try one of these five ways to get involved in your community.

  1. Volunteer

The Guild have hundreds of great volunteering opportunities available throughout the year you can get involved in.

On their site right now, they have opportunities to help identify animals in camera traps, coach children’s football and create Tik Toks to support women refugees, asylum seekers and survivors of trafficking.

Eurovision 2023 are also looking for volunteers to help scan tickets, greet visitors and welcome artists backstage.

  1. Be a good neighbour – bins and noise

Although students are valuable Liverpool residents, to help make sure everyone’s needs in the community are met, we all need to think about noise levels and help keep our amazing city tidy.

  1. Litter pick

As well as meeting new people and increasing your daily steps, litter picking can give you a great sense of achievement. You can find a litter pick near you via the Wellbeing Liverpool website.

5. Reporting problems

If you experience problems within your local community, whether it be noise or other anti-social behaviour, you can report this to Environmental Health.
