Careers Fairs are a great way to connect with potential employers and find out about their job opportunities for students and graduates.
Our Spring Careers Fair on Wednesday 15 March features 70 employers from a wide range of career sectors who are all looking to speak to University of Liverpool students.
The Careers Fair runs from 10am – 2.30pm in the Crypt Hall of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. Access the event via the entrance on Brownlow Hill, just past the Foundation Building.
As well as many job opportunities for students graduating in summer 2023 there will also be employers with internship and placement roles – plus part-time jobs on-campus and in the local area.
To make the most of the day it’s important that you prepare for the fair.
- Do your research – Register and look at who is attending as this will enable you to devise a plan of which recruiters to talk to first and see where the employers are located. We’ve grouped opportunities into career clusters to make it easier to find the roles that are relevant to you.
- Think about what you’re going to say – Prepare questions to ask, and also anticipate questions you yourself may be asked. Try think of specific questions about the job and company as this shows you have a genuine interest in them.
- Update your online profile – Employers may suggest connecting online to find out more about their opportunities. Use our online checklist to make sure your Linkedin and Handshake profiles are up to date with all your latest work experience and a professional photo. Make the most of our Linkedin sessions taking place during the week.
