Medical students raise funds for mental health and children’s charities

LMSS student cycle challenge

Student from the Liverpool Medical Students Society (LMSS) embarked on an arduous Sea 2 Sea Cycle Challenge last month to raise money for local mental health and children’s charities.

The 17-strong team trained for three months to prepare for their ambitious journey, which started at the North Sea in Hull with the finish line at the Irish Sea in Liverpool.

In total, the student raised nearly £5,000 for their chosen charities; Wirral Mind who support people who are struggling with their mental health, and KIND Liverpool who work to support children and families cope with the effects of poverty and disadvantage.
