Travel Survey update

In April the University launched its annual staff and student Travel Survey to gather information on travel habits, helping inform decisions and shape our approach to sustainable travel at the University.

The survey is now closed and the University would like to thank everyone who participated, we appreciate you taking the time to share your views with us.

For every survey completed, we donated £1 to our three Liv to Give charities and this has successfully raised an impressive £2,435.

The University will donate an equal portion of this sum to Alzheimer’s Society, Kids in Need and Distress (KIND) and Liverpool Domestic Abuse Service (LDAS).

Work will begin imminently on analysing the data we have collected and will contribute to our Scope 3 carbon reporting on commuter and business travel.

Staff and students who provided their email addresses will be contacted in the near future about a series of focus groups which will help to identify opportunities to expand and improve sustainable travel services, particularly cycling, walking, and public transport.

This will not only reduce the University’s carbon impact but also contribute towards improving the health and wellbeing of staff and students.

Initiatives to support smart travel

However you choose to commute, the University offers a range of initiatives and incentives to support sustainable travel to and from campus. Visit the sustainable travel and transport pages to find out more.
