The University of Liverpool will celebrate and recognise the importance of postdocs in September as part of National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW). Running from 18th – 21st September 2023, this UK-wide initiative celebrates the invaluable contributions that postdoctoral researchers make to the research excellence, impact, community and culture.
This year, staff and PGRs at University of Liverpool are encouraged to share their appreciation of the postdocs they work with. These appreciations are a way to thank the researchers who have made an impact on your work or supported you as a PGR. They will be shared with the postdoc community on the Researcher Hub and across social media to highlight the value of postdocs to University of Liverpool.
You can share appreciations of individual postdocs that you have worked with, or send a general message of appreciation for all postdocs who work at the University. For example, is there someone who has supported you to learn a new technique or mentored you with your writing skills? Have the postdocs in your department run events that have helped you feel a part of the researcher community?
