Before Welcome
- Upload your Student ID card photo to Liverpool Life by Friday, 8 September
- Read these 11 things you should do before arriving
- Make sure you complete the Liverpool Welcome Module. This can be accessed on Canvas and is your virtual, on-demand welcome toolkit. You’ll find plenty of videos, information, events, support and opportunities for you to enjoy as a student here at Liverpool.
- Take a look at the Campus Map
- Have a look at Unibuddy, Student News and our social media channels
- View your Academic Timetables
- Explore your student intranet to find out where all the key information you need for the year can be found

If you are a new undergraduate, during your first few days on campus, remember to electronically sign and return your declaration to Student Finance. We can’t confirm your attendance to Student Finance England until you’ve done it, which could cause a delay in receiving your money. Please visit the Student finance pages on the gov.uk site for more information.

During Welcome
- Monday:
- If you’re going to be in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences or the Faculty of Science and Engineering, your Welcome Talk is taking place on Monday in the Mountford Hall (within the Guild).
- Celebration of Cultures on University Square, with music, free food, entertainment and freebies all day.
- Tuesday:
- If you’re going to be in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, your Welcome Talk takes place on Tuesday in the Mountford Hall (within the Guild).
- Meet the Teams takes place near University Square. There will be freebies and the chance to meet lots of our wonderful teams, including staff from the Library, Campus Support and Scholarships.
- Wednesday: The part-time jobs fair is taking place on Wednesday 20 September on Guild Walk within the marquee.
- Thursday and Friday: Big days on campus 😊
- Guild Fair – head to the Guild to meet lots of the societies you could join.
- Sports Fair – make your way to Sport Liverpool to see all of the teams you could join at University and to find out more about classes and activities taking place at Sport Liverpool over the year.
- All week:
- Student ID card collection: If you’re staying in your halls, you can collect your ID card from your halls. If you’re not staying in halls, you can collect your cards from your school. Your school will tell you when and where you can collect your student ID card. If you missed the Friday, 8 September deadline to upload your student ID photo, you can collect your Student ID Card from the GFlex in the Central Teaching Labs
- If you have a question during Welcome, head to the Here to Help Hub in the Central Teaching Hub.
- If you’re an international student and need a BRP, the Biometric Resident Permit (BRP) Collection can be found in the Central Teaching Labs within the Gflex.
- Confirm your engagement: If you don’t confirm your engagement, you won’t be a fully registered student at the University. Around nine days before your programme starts you will be sent an email that will ask you to confirm your engagement via Liverpool Life. If you’re a student who will study on University campus, you will need to confirm your engagement from a PC connected to the University network.
- Share your photos using #TeamLivUni. You can also share your photo to our digital mosaic using #TeamLivUni, which will be displayed in University Square during Welcome.
After Welcome
- Register with a GP
- Visit Liverpool Life to make sure we have your current term-time address.
- Explore and book onto helpful KnowHow workshops to help you develop all the skills you’ll need in terms of assessments, exams and your course.
