5 University teams you need to know about

Find out more about some of the student-facing teams whose job it is to provide support and make sure you have a great time while studying at the University of Liverpool.

IT Services

The IT Services team are here to help you get started and make the most of the University’s IT systems. For new students, the IT Quickstart section of their website is full of information to help you set up your computing accountemail and wi-fi.

From Monday 4 September the team will be offering an IT Drop-In Centre service from the Sydney Jones Library, with opening hours from 9am to 5pm.

­The team also offer an on online self-service portal which is your one-stop shop for IT assistance. From requests to support calls and how-to articles in our knowledge base, get what you need right away.

Student Administration and Support

Our Student Administration and Support team are responsible for a wide variety of activities including student records, fees, examinations and graduation, and student support services including health and welfare.

If you have any questions you can use the online Student Administration Helpdesk to search for useful information and get support for a number of services including ID cards, registration, transcript and fee queries.

Campus Support

The Campus Support Team are here to help keep campus a safe and secure place to live, study and work.

The team can provide assistance if you need to access University buildings, and with lost and found property.

In addition, they run a dedicated chaperone service on campus, that runs 24 hours a day. If you feel vulnerable and would like to be escorted across campus at night, please call Campus Support at any time on 0151 794 3252.

The University also has a dedicated Police Officer – PC Andy Woolford – who works alongside our Campus Support Services team and can offer practical safety advice and support regarding any potential crime related issues.

KnowHow

Our KnowHow team offer a free service for all University of Liverpool students, with a range of workshops, webinars and online tutorials to help improve your academic skills.

The team also offer 1-2-1 appointments with Writing @ Liverpool tutors for additional support with academic writing and our Stats @ Liverpool tutors for support with statistics.

For new students, the first few weeks at University can be quite daunting, but the team have you covered with their online tutorials to help you settle in and ace your first semester!


Careers & Employability

No matter what stage you’re at in planning your future after graduation, the Careers & Employability team are here to help.

Their Career Coaches provide 1-2-1 support via the Career Studio on University Square – whether you’re looking for a part-time jobs, need to your CV checked, or are looking for some help with any stage of the application process, the team are here to help.

You’ll also benefit from employability support in the curriculum, and through a wide range of exciting extra-curricular activities that take place during the course of the academic year.

The team will help you to make the most of your time at university, and keep you moving forward as you prepare for your graduate career.
