As part of our ongoing partnership with Tate Liverpool, each Autumn two University of Liverpool students have the opportunity to help with upcoming shows, events and gain experience volunteering for a major art institution.
Tate Liverpool welcomes applications from students on any course of study. You can read more about the Ambassador Scheme and apply here by 5pm on Monday 6 November 2023.
This year’s ambassadors will have the unique opportunity to volunteer with Tate Liverpool as it relocates to its new temporary home at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) North, Mann Island, while its permanent home at the Royal Albert Dock is closed for improvements until 2025.
If you’re interested in this role and would like to find out more then book a place at our Careers in Heritage and Culture panel event on Tuesday 17 October which will include a speaker from Tate Liverpool.
Join the Tate Liverpool reimagined celebrations
University of Liverpool students are invited to celebrate Tate Liverpool during a weekend packed with free activities before the transformation project begins.
On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October 2023, you can enjoy free displays, talks, activities and music, plus the opportunity to leave your own mark on Tate Liverpool’s walls. They will be taking inspiration from previous exhibitions including Keith Haring and Andy Warhol and looking ahead to how the galleries will look in the future. Read more about the events on Tate’s website here.
The University’s partnership with Tate Liverpool, which started in 2016, formalises a history of collaboration that stretches back over 30 years in which our academics and students have pursued common goals alongside Tate’s researchers and curators. We intend to continue this partnership throughout the upcoming changes, maintaining our close relationship and delivering benefits to both institutions.
