Societies and Schools Volunteer
Liverpool Guild of Students is inviting you to join them as societies volunteer for Guild Schools.
The Societies in Schools project encourages University of Liverpool society members to deliver workshops in Primary or Secondary schools across Merseyside.
It’s a great opportunity for students and pupils to develop their skills and experience something new.
Marketing for Mental Health Charity
The Be Free Campaign has produced a high-quality mental health training programme designed for the workplace. Mental health in the workplace is a massive issue both for employee welfare and businesses.
This role would involve working as a team to plan a marketing strategy, putting it into motion, and working with the other charity teams to make use of our resources! We would highly recommend this opportunity for anyone who is looking for a future in marketing and wants to start out with a high-profile project.
Women Refugee Connect Fundraiser
As a volunteer fundraiser for Refugee Women Connect you will help our volunteer team organise fun activities (such as bingos, raffles, pub quizzes etc) to raise money as well as raise awareness about our charity.
Volunteering for Refugee Women Connect offers a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of refugee and asylum-seeking women in Liverpool.
IntoUniversity Student Mentor
Work with young people from some of the UK’s most disadvantaged areas, supporting them to raise their aspirations and achieve their potential.
The IntoUniversity Mentoring Scheme works with young people aged 10-17 from their centre in North Liverpool
As a Mentor, you would help to ensure that the background young people are born into doesn’t affect their life chances.
LGBT+ Ambassador with Just Like Us
Ambassadors form a network of LGBT+ people who use their experiences to positively impact the lives of LGBT+ young people and helps ensure they grow up with the support and representation they need.
As a Just Like Us ambassador your role will be incredibly varied. There are a number of exciting projects, tasks and opportunities you can get stuck into. You will be trained to deliver talks and workshops to schools, use your voice online by creating digital content and contribute to loads of different areas of the organisation such as fundraising, promotion, strategy and inclusion.
Flat Sustainability Champion
Take a leading role in sustainability in your Halls of Residence by volunteering as a Flat Sustainability Champion!
The Guild’s Sustainability Team and SOS-UK are offering the opportunity to take a leading role in sustainability in your Halls of Residence.
As a Flat Sustainability Champion (FSC) you will encourage flatmates to improve energy saving, recycling and other sustainable behaviour changes. It will also involve learning more about other issues including the UN Sustainable Development Goals and taking part in competitions.
Please note this opportunity is open to University Halls students only.
Volunteer Mentor (Primary and Secondary Schools)
As a ReachOut mentor you will make a real difference to the lives of young people in your local community, you will watch them grow in social and academic confidence, develop their character and raise their aspirations.
You will be involved in one of our weekly after-school ReachOut Projects, working with either primary or secondary school students.
