Could you be the targetjobs Undergraduate of the Year?

Undergraduate of the Year

The Undergraduate of the Year Awards is an annual competition that recognises students’ achievements and their individuality, for what you have done inside and outside of academia.

The competition aims to find the best undergraduates in the UK, with a number of awards partnered by employers who will provide opportunities that money cannot buy.

Why should you apply?

The awards aren’t about what you’re studying and where, but the skills and qualities you embody as an individual.

This is a great opportunity to be recognised for your achievements, elevate your personal brand, and grow your wider network with like-minded individuals.

You can also win prizes such as a paid internship, one-to-one coaching and networking opportunities, branded gifts such as an Apple watch and much more!

What are the categories?

There are 11 awards on offer, and you can only apply for one.

The categories are:

  • AI and Robotics
  • Black Heritage
  • Celebrating Neurodiverse Talent
  • Celebrating Resilience
  • Engineering
  • Female
  • Future Actuary
  • Future Building Surveyor
  • LGBTQ+
  • Management
  • Maths, Physics and Economics
  • Software Engineering

To be in with the chance of winning exclusive prizes, apply online via the Undergraduate of the Year awards website. Make sure you’ve reviewed all of the available options before starting your application.

After you apply

The application process is straight-forward and is made up of three sections:

  • Personal information
  • Essay style questions
  • Psychometric tests

The process has been specifically created to mirror those you may experience in the graduate scheme application processes.

Even if you aren’t a winner, the awards are a perfect way to practice for applying to graduate schemes and everyone who completes the online tests will receive feedback.

Successful undergraduates will be invited to attend an assessment centre with the award partner, and the shortlist will be invited to a grand award ceremony in London on 29 April 2024.
