If you’re concerned about your alcohol consumption, you can now join the Student Wellbeing Team and Liverpool Community Alcohol Service (LCAS) to get specific advice and support.

Starting on Thursday 8 February, and continuing each week, the one-hour sessions start at 1 pm in the Gilmour Room at the Guild. The LCAS team will provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your concerns.

LCAS is dedicated to helping you to address problematic drinking through brief alcohol interventions. These interventions include both group and individualised support, creating a positive environment for you to make a change to your alcohol consumption habits.

Whether you are navigating the challenges of university life or just looking for a supportive community, these sessions are a great way to connect with other students who may share similar experiences. LCAS understands the many reasons you might seek support for your alcohol use and all sessions are completely confidential and no personal information is recorded.

There’s no need for pre-registration – simply show up ready to engage in a constructive and supportive environment.

We’re encouraging all students who may benefit from these sessions to attend as part of our aim to create a supportive and caring community for all. Let’s take a step towards a healthier, happier university experience together.
