About the event
Registration is now open for our first Faculty of Humanities & Social Science Postgraduate Research Showcase. Held across two days, the showcase includes talks, posters, panel discussions and more; you can find the full timetable with full details each session on the booking page.
Highlights include:
- Why study a PhD at Liverpool – ever wondered what a PhD is, and why you might want to consider undertaking one? Or what the University of Liverpool has to offer, and how you can fund your PhD studies? This session covers application, funding and is the nuts and bolts of applying for a research degree and what you can expect in terms of support from the University.
- Wellbeing Support for Postgraduate Researchers – A brief introduction to the services offer to students by our Wellbeing Team, with a focus on new developments in support specifically for Postgraduate Researchers.
- Ask Me Anything (AMA) Panel – Ask the panel anything – whether it’ about their work and research, to questions you might have about undertaking a PhD, the panel is here to answer any queries you may have!
Ways to find out more about postgraduate research at Liverpool
If you’re interested in postgraduate research, we also have a number of other open events taking place during March where you can find out more. We have two events for you to choose from, so you can meet us your way, either online or on campus:
- Online from Monday 4 to Friday 8 March 2024 at our Virtual Postgraduate Open Week
- In person from 5-8pm on Wednesday 13 March 2024 at our Postgraduate Open Evening at our main University of Liverpool campus.
What can you expect at the Virtual Open Week?
As part of the online week we will be hosting a Postgraduate Research Student Panel at 4pm on Monday 4 March. The panel will be made up of current University of Liverpool PhD students, from all three faculties, who will share their research experience, as well as their PhD journey at Liverpool.
We’ll also be offering the following subject-specific sessions:
- Accounting and Finance PhD at 12pm, Monday 4 March
- Economics PhD at 12pm, Wednesday 6 March
- Executive DBA at 12pm, Thursday 7 March
- Management PhD and Management MRes at 12pm, Friday 8 March
