Emily Bradley from Sport Liverpool said “Varsity shows the true impact team sport can have on your University experience as a student, it brings together students across our city to support their respective teams, make memories and form new friendships.”
“The support on the side-lines has been exceptional in 2024 across both campus facilities and have only enhanced our team performances throughout the competition. We look forward to next year, growing the event, celebrating team sport, and of course winning! Let’s go for our 10th win in a row in 2025!”

Support the annual Christie Championships
Steeped in history, the Christie Championships, is an annual sports event held between the Universities of Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester.
Christie is the second oldest inter-university competition in the UK after the Oxford – Cambridge rivalries, and in 2024, the Championships will be in its 138th year.
The host alternates each year with 2024 seeing the championships return to the University of Manchester. Over 30 sports events are played throughout the day culminating in a presentation to celebrate the overall victors. The University of Liverpool came out on top in 2023, will we be able to defend our title?
