We are excited to announce the launch of the brand new University of Liverpool Equality Plus (EQ+) Awards, which aim to highlight the incredible contributions of students in fostering a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
We are encouraging students and staff to nominate a team or an individual for one of eight categories, with each award representing a unique facet of breaking down barriers and empowering students to thrive now and into their early careers.
From rising stars to disability champions, the categories embody the diverse and inspiring efforts that shape our inclusive community. The categories are:
- Rising Star Award, sponsored by upReach
- Disability Champion, sponsored by HMRC
- Exceptional Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by Abjack
- Gender Equality Champion, sponsored by Amazon
- LivUni Mentor of the Year, sponsored by Handshake
- Neurodiversity Champion, sponsored by Spaces Liverpool
- The REACH Award, sponsored by Liverpool Guild of Students
- Greatest Achievement to EDI 2024, Sponsored by Enterprise Mobility
The categories are broad, aiming to recognise not just exceptional individuals but also students and graduates actively working towards achieving something special related to any aspect of equality, diversity, or inclusivity. Small actions can lead to significant change, and we aim to champion individuals driven by their passions and ambitions.
The deadline for nominations is Sunday 24 March 2024.
Help us to spotlight our remarkable students and graduates who are making a positive impact and inspiring change.
