As we head into exam and assessment season we wanted to remind you of all the ways our wonderful library team can help support you!
1. Library goes 24/7
Our libraries – Harold Cohen and Sydney Jones – will be open around the clock during the assessment period for anyone who wishes to use their facilities to study. So, if you’re a night owl and you prefer to revise after dark, we’re here to offer you a safe and welcoming study space.
2. Online resources
You don’t have to physically be in one of our libraries to access more than 900,000 ebooks and 130,000 ejournals, which are available to you 24/7, wherever you have an internet connection.

3. Specialist Subject Support
Did you know there are designated Liaison Librarians for each subject? They can help with finding and using library resources and referencing in the style used by your school.

4. KnowHow to support your learning
KnowHow provides a full programme of workshops and webinars to help you succeed in your studies. In the lead up to exams, there are several live sessions running on Revision Techniques, where you can learn how to revise actively and avoid procrastination. 5. 1-2-1 academic writing support
Writing@Liverpool is an initiative delivered by postgraduate tutors who have lots of experience in academic writing.
Book a one-to-one appointment with a tutor for support with analysing questions, becoming more critical, structuring your writing or referencing.

Stats@Liverpool is a free service to help you boost your statistical skills.
Book a one-to-one appointment with a friendly postgraduate statistics tutor for support in choosing statistical tests, using statistical packages and understanding statistical concepts.
7. Free access to books, ebooks, audiobooks & more
Reading your course material is important, but so is switching off and escaping! Our free-to-access leisure reading collections are not directly related to your university studies.

8. Free access to Film, TV, Documentaries & more
You have free access to multiple streaming platforms through the Library!
- Sign up to Kanopy to access thousands of films, from blockbusters to documentaries as well as a great selection of classic films and World cinema
- Stream critically acclaimed classic, cult and contemporary cinema hand-picked by the British Film Institute on BFI Player
- Login to Box of Broadcasts to access TV, Radio and Film on demand
