Congratulations to our University Halls team who have been named as one of five finalists in 3 categories at this year’s Global Student Living Awards; Best Moving In Experience, Best University Housing and Best Environmental Management.
The Global Student Living Awards for the UK & Ireland are based exclusively on direct feedback from tens of thousands of students across 200 universities and colleges each year, making the awards prestigious and highly sought after.
The Best University Housing and Best Environmental Management are additional to the Best Moving in Experience which our halls were shortlisted for following the first wave of the GLI survey in November 2023.
This is the first time the University has been shortlisted for Best Environmental Management and reflects our work over the past year on a new Sustainability Local Action Plan for Residential Services and the introduction of new initiatives such as food waste collections.
The team also won the Best Customer Service award last year.
The final results will be announced in October 2024.
These nominations recognise a collaborative effort across Residential Services and reflects the hard work and commitment of the four teams; Accommodation, Halls Life, Pastoral Team and Halls Operations, making sure all our students enjoy a smooth start to university life.
