If you’re still to move out of your student accommodation, remember that The Guild’s Leave Liverpool Tidy campaign is here to help you to donate unwanted items from your student house or halls this summer.
Working in collaboration with British Heart Foundation and Fareshare, the Guild are making it really easy for you to donate your unwanted items instead of throwing it all away.
Don’t dump it, donate it!
This year’s campaign has already collected a huge 44 crates of food for FareShare, as well as clothing and homeware donations for British Heart Foundation.
Donation days and drop-off points this week
If you live in Kensington or Smithdown, the Guild team will be out to collect your donations this week on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 June. Please make sure all donations are left outside your house by 11am and ready for collection in your green/yellow Leave Liverpool Tidy bag or clearly labelled as ‘Leave Liverpool Tidy donation’ so they don’t miss it. You can pick up any extra donation bags you need from Guild Reception.
You can also drop off your items at Kensington Fields and Wavertree Sports Centre between 10am and 3pm on these days too.
Got lots of waste from your end of year clear out? There will be additional skips in the community from 31 May – 2 July in Smithdown and 27 – 30 June in Kensington.
Everything you need to know about Leave Liverpool Tidy is on the Guild webpages – find out more about how, where and when to donate, which items we can except and other ways you can recycle in Liverpool.
Last year, the Leave Liverpool Tidy team collected 3,370 bags of donations from students moving out across the city. That’s equivalent to 27 tonnes of items prevented from going to landfill!
