Graduation checklist: Where to go and when

We know there’s a lot to remember, so we’ve put together this short graduation checklist to help you plan your day. #LivUniGrad

****************

Don’t forget, after 30 days (from your end date or graduation date; whichever is later) you won’t be able to access your University email address. So we can keep providing careers support and let you know about networking opportunities and your alumni benefits, update your contact details by completing this short form.

First stop: Sports Centre

Venue: Sports Centre; D4 on the Campus Map

Activity: Two to three hours before your ceremony begins, pick up your tickets, brochure, certificate and gown at Sports Centre. You’ll get a free University of Liverpool tote bag to help keep everything safe.

When leaving the Sports Centre, turn right onto Guild Walk and then turn right onto Oxford Street and walk to the Metropolitan Cathedral.

Gown collection opens: 7am

Gown drop-off (on The Street in the Guild): 6.30pm

**********

While you’re getting your gown, your guests can relax in Guild Walk or inside the courtyard area of the Guild.

Second stop: Photography

Venue: Sports Centre

Open: 9am – 6pm

Activity: If you have booked photography through Ede & Ravenscroft, your official photography will be in the Sports Centre. If the queue is too long, pop back later but check with the Sales Desk for closing times.

Some of our buildings, like the beautiful Victoria Gallery and Museum, are having some work done. We’ve created a green screen opportunity so that you can take a photo with a virtual Victoria Gallery and Museum. We know it’s not perfect, but hopefully you can get some good shots to remember your special day.

You’ll find deckchairs, swing seats and our UoL letters in University Square.

Israel / Gaza protest

We’d like to make you aware in advance of your return to campus that a small group of people are occupying the University’s Abercromby Square in relation to the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza. This follows similar events on university campuses in the UK and US over the past few months. The surrounding area and University buildings remain open and fully operational.

The University of Liverpool supports the right to participate in lawful, peaceful protest and we are monitoring the situation to minimise any disruption. As a University community we sincerely hope for an end to the violence and a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Israel and Gaza.
