Business Analytics and Big Data students tour Airbus facilities

Management students visit Airbus

Students from the University’s MSc Business Analytics and Big Data programme recently visited the Airbus site in Broughton, Chester as part of the professional learning and development section of their course.

The students took part in a two-hour tour of the A350 Wing Production Facility, a fantastic opportunity which gave them a first-hand glimpse into Airbus’s assembly process and supply chain.

Afterwards, members of the Airbus Team delivered an insightful talk on how Airbus harnesses the power of business analytics and big data to achieve greater performance – and offered career advice to students on opportunities available at Airbus

MSc Business Analytics and Big Data student Desmond Ling, said: “The Airbus tour was an amazing experience overall as it provided an insights into the manufacturing process and how the company uses data analytics to optimise production and make informed decisions.”
