Staff, students and societies are invited to apply for funding of up to £2500 through the Alumni and Friends Fund grant. The grant is designed to support activities that enhance the student experience. This could be through improving campus facilities and communal spaces, or offering students and staff extracurricular opportunities and engaging with the local community. If you have an idea that will benefit students, staff, or the University then please consider submitting an application.
The Alumni and Friends Fund grant is part of the University of Liverpool’s annual fundraising initiative, run by the Development and Alumni Relations team. The grant is made possible thanks to the generosity of alumni, graduates, friends and university staff.

Past projects
Last year we were able to provide financial assistance to eight projects. The University of Liverpool Flight Simulation Group (FSG) was one of our student societies that was successful in their application for the grant. They had this to say:
“We would like to thank the Alumni and Friends Fund supporters for their selfless contributions. For FSG it has been a vital lifeline. Without your support we wouldn’t be able to operate such a unique student activity; no other UK university has anything quite like it. We would also like to thank the supporters for their greater impact across the university, so many amazing projects university wide would have stopped in their tracks if it was not for the funding of the Alumni and Friends Fund grant.”
