Amber weather warning for snow and ice

Snow March 2023 Abercromby Square Liverpool

Amber weather warnings for snow and ice have been issued for much of the UK across the weekend and students are being encouraged to check public transport services and road conditions before travelling.

Campus is open and our services are running normally, including campus support and Student Life. The latest advice and guidance on travel will be available on the Arriva and Merseyrail websites.

Teaching and assessments

Unless your school or department gets in touch with you directly, all scheduled teaching and/or assessments will be going ahead as normal next week.

Please be aware that travel may be disrupted for those who are intending to journey back to the Liverpool city region this weekend as the winter break draws to a close. It is important that you plan ahead and ensure you are on campus in good time to resume your teaching activities and attend any in-person scheduled assessments.

If circumstances arise which may be beyond your control or which you were unable to plan for we have clear processes to help you. Please get in touch with your School or Department Learning and Teaching Support Officer (LTSO). You can also find out more about extenuating circumstances on our webpages.

You can view any centrally-scheduled exams – either online exams (up to 24 hours in length) or in-person exams (in a room on campus) – on your personal exam timetable on the Timetable Portal, or by clicking on ‘Exam Timetable’ in the Essential Links box on your My Liverpool homepage.

Libraries

The Harold Cohen and Sydney Jones Library are open as usual. Please do check the Library webpage and the Library social media accounts for details of opening times.
