De-stress with some Friday fun at the Guild

Revision can mean you spend a lot of time sitting down and looking at a screen. Although this study time is essential, it’s just as important to take a break from your books in order to maintain good productivity.

To help you unwind, the Guild is hosting a whole range of free events this Friday (10 January) to give you a reason to step away from your studies for a short period, in order to recharge your batteries.

From lunchtime walks with fellow students, to painting plant pots, baking with BakeSoc and other mindful activities to help your mind and body relax, this is the perfect way to prepare for your next revision session.

Drop into the Gilmour Room at the Guild between 9am-5pm and pick an activity that suits you. The baking – which includes making your own crepes and cupcake and cookie decorating, will take place between 2-3pm in the Guild kitchen.

Take a Break continues for the next two weeks…

Take a Break sessions will also run on Monday, 13 January and Tuesday, 21 January to cover the full exam and assessment period, giving you a ready-made reason to down tools and de-stress in a friendly and fun environment. This includes repeat sessions with the BakeSoc, who will help to whisk away your stress in the Guild’s kitchen on Monday, 13 January, 11am-12pm and Tuesday, 21 January, 11am-12pm. No booking is required and all ingredients are supplied to help you whip up a batch of positive vibes.
