ParliaMentors is an award-winning leadership programme that empowers university students of different faiths and non-religious beliefs to collaborate and drive real social change.
You’ll take part in expert-led training, receive mentoring from MPs, and get support from local and national charities and NGOs — all designed to help you build the skills and networks to create lasting impact in your community, your future career, and the political arena.
There are exclusive places reserved just for Liverpool students, and the programme is open to students from any degree subject who will be at university in the next academic year.
If you’re eager to work with people from diverse backgrounds and want to make a difference beyond university, this opportunity could be the programme for you.
Get involved and you will:
- Experience politics in action: Gain first-hand insight into the political process with guidance from MPs and Peers.
- Lead social change: Collaborate in mixed-belief teams to deliver social action projects, supported by leading charities.
- Grow your leadership skills: Learn through hands-on experience, interactive training workshops, and inspiring events.
- Expand your network: Build meaningful connections with professionals, organisations, and fellow alumni through the ParliaMentors network.
Since 2007 over 600 students from diverse backgrounds have taken part in ParliaMentors, along with over 85 MP Mentors. You’ll join a vibrant alumni community who have gone on to work for the Home Office, BBC, think-tanks, charities, MPs and the Civil Service. Others have been elected as local councillors, set up charities and even become MPs themselves.
