Keeping on Track with Your University Payments: A Student’s Guide

Managing tuition and accommodation fees might not be the most exciting part of uni life—but staying on top of them can save you a lot of stress later on.

Our fees team have put together some top tips to help you stay organised, avoid unnecessary issues, and know where to turn if things get tricky:

Check What Payment Plan You’re On

Before anything else, it’s really important to know what your payment schedule looks like. The University offers different instalment plans depending on your course, fee status, and whether you’re self-funding. Head over to the Paying Student Fees page to see which plan applies to you.

Pay the Amount Due Promptly

Once you know your dates, try to pay on or before the due date. Late payments can lead to warning emails and eventually things like blocked access to your university account or delays in your graduation. No one wants that!

Top Tip: Set calendar reminders for your payment dates

Having Problems? Reach Out Early

Life can throw curveballs—illness, sudden expenses, or visa delays. If you foresee payment difficulties, contact the Student Fees & Funding Office immediately feesenq@liverpool.ac.uk.

Don’t Ignore Reminder Emails

If you do get a payment reminder, don’t ignore it—those emails are important. They’re usually a heads-up before any action is taken. The quicker you respond, whether it’s by making a payment or contacting the Fees Office, the better your chances of sorting things out smoothly.
