Farmageddon
Now until Saturday, 1 November
Farmaggedon is the ultimate scream park, an interactive horror experience where the entire site comes alive with roaming zombies and creatures of the night. Brave three terrifying scare houses, Contagion, Meat Locker and The Beast of Terror, or take on the adrenaline-fuelled paintball challenge, Zombie Outlaw.

Newsham Scream Park

The award-winning Home of Halloween is back, haunting the infamous Newsham Park Hospital in Liverpool. Once a Victorian orphanage, asylum, and hospital, its decaying corridors now set the stage for Newsham Scream Park, the UK’s most immersive and terrifying Halloween attraction.

Imagine Lennon
Thursday, 9 October
Experience an unforgettable and intimate evening celebrating the legacy of John Lennon, brought to life by the internationally acclaimed Tyson Kelly as John Lennon – renowned for his striking portrayal of Lennon in Broadway’s Let It Be and in the UK and World’s #1 Beatles tribute, The Bootleg Beatles, for seven years.

Houseplant sale

An absolute favourite in students’ calendars for years, the Houseplant Sale is back on University Square for one week only this semester. Bring some green into your student home and choose from thousands of plants in all shapes and sizes.

River of Light
Friday, 24 October to Sunday, 2 November
Follow a magical light trail around the city centre and enjoy some amazing installations. Soak up some culture and get the perfect photo for Instagram. This year’s trail has the theme ‘The Science of Light’.

Halls’ Students Only: Visit to Knowsley Safari Park
Saturday, 25 October, 10am-4pm
Need to spend a day away from the library? Interested in seeing some of Merseyside’s most exotic residents? Then we’ve got the trip for you! Turner: Always Contemporary

The Walker Art Gallery has revealed new details about its major upcoming exhibition, Turner: Always Contemporary (25 October 2025 – 22 February 2026). The landmark exhibition, which marks 250 years since the artist’s birth, will bring internationally important artworks by JMW Turner (1775-1851) and a host of contemporary artists to Liverpool.

Spooky Cinema at The Mansion House

Liverpool’s biggest open-air cinema is back at the historic Calderstones Mansion, just in time for Spooky Season. Set beneath the cosy cover of a giant canopy, audiences can enjoy a hand-picked line-up of Halloween family favourites, timeless cinematic classics, and chilling literary adaptations. Films being shown: Beetle Juice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Addams Family Values, and Rear Window.
