Do you have an idea to transform student life at Liverpool? The Alumni and Friends Fund grant could help to make it happen.
The grant supports projects that enhance the student experience, whether that’s improving facilities, creating welcoming communal spaces, offering new academic or extracurricular opportunities, or building stronger connections between the University and the local community.
This funding is made possible thanks to the generosity of alumni, friends, and University staff who give back through the Student Fund, part of the University of Liverpool’s annual fundraising initiative.

Past projects
One of this year’s funded clubs is the University’s Rowing Club, which has over 80 members. With support from the Alumni and Friends Fund, the club is replacing speaker systems in four coxed boats to ensure coxswains can communicate clearly during training and competitions.
The upgrade will enhance safety, reliability and the rowing experience for current and future members.
Robert, the club’s president said: “This equipment will benefit our members, improve safety and reliability, and help us attract more coxes to the club. We’re very grateful for the support.”
