Students are being encouraged to enhance their digital skills by using KnowHow’s new online tool.

The JISC Discovery Tool enables you to assess your confidence in a variety of digital skills by answering a selection of basic questions. You will then be provided with a personalised report indicating where there may be gaps in your digital knowledge with suggestions about how you can upskill.

All students who complete the tool during semester one of this academic year will be entered into the draw to win a pair of Bose headphones! Access the tool here.

Students can also use Maker Space at the Sydney Jones Library for hands-on experience in emerging digital technologies, including 3D printing, virtual reality, laser cutting and vinyl cutting. Book your space on a workshop.

Those looking to improve their skills in working with statistics and coding can attend a KnowHow session, or work through one of our tutorials, available on our website 24/7. If you have a specific statistical query, you can also book a one-to-one appointment with our Stats@Liverpool tutors.

We recommend that you work through a range of online training materials designed to help you stay vigilant against cyber security threats while studying at university, and in your personal life. These are available in the Digital Skills section of the KnowHow: Study for Success Canvas course, which you will have been automatically enrolled onto.
