Issue 4 of the student-created Insider Imprint journal is now online and can be read via the Insider Imprint website.

Insider Imprint is a Life Sciences journal run by PhD students, for undergraduate and master’s students. The first issue of the journal was published in May 2018. The journal showcases the wide range of life sciences-related research taking place and supports early-career researchers and scholars. The journal is published once a year online.

Issue 4 of Insider Imprint includes content on: student research projects, detail about working in a COVID testing lab, articles from the school outreach writing competition and also features expanded careers and wellbeing sections.

Speaking about the latest issue, Dr Fabia Allen student and Managing Editor said, “The world and how we live in it has changed a lot in the last year, but despite the challenges of the new reality, students at Liverpool have continued to submit high-quality articles to Insider Imprint for publication. We can now celebrate turning four with a brilliant fourth issue.”

Alongside the journal, two new initiatives were launched this year: The Student Ambassador Scheme and the Insider Insights podcast.

Student Ambassador Scheme

Insider Imprint invites undergraduate and Master’s students to join the editorial team. Students gain insight into the behind-the-scenes working of the journal and have specific roles to play that ultimately gains them HEAR accreditation. We currently have four fantastic ambassadors. Find out more via the Insider Imprint website.

Insider Insights Podcast

The Insider Insights podcast features conversations between our editors and authors, giving students yet another way to get involved with the journal and showcase their achievements. The podcast also provides another avenue for the wider student population to engage with our content.
