John Moores Painting Prize 2023

The John Moores Painting Prize is the UK’s most well-known painting competition, bringing together the best contemporary painting from across the UK to Liverpool. Museum of Liverpool – “Happiness!”
When? Admission from 30 Jan – 11 February 2024
“Happiness!” is an exhibition filled with fun and humour. Celebrating one of Liverpool’s iconic comedians, the exhibition charts the life and career of the legendary Sir Ken Dodd, and his connection to today’s comedic stars. Read more about the Happiness exhibition here.
World Museum – “Return of the Gods”
When? Admission from 30 January – 11 February 2024
From Wonder Woman to Hercules our screens are dominated by chiselled superheroes wielding their power – but who inspired these indestructible figures? This family-friendly exhibition dives into ancient Greek and Roman mythology to expose the original ancient characters of the heroes and heroines of our time. How to access the exhibitions for free
All you need to claim your free tickets from the venue’s information desk is a valid University ID (your University student card). There is no limit to the number of times that you can make use of this offer.
What does the offer include?
This offer relates to the three temporary exhibitions listed above during the dates shown. This does not extend to any events outside of the venue’s normal opening hours or any of the special public programme events running alongside the exhibitions.
