Re-sit exam results are due to be released on Monday, 8 September.

The Results Portal will open at 12 noon for you to view your marks for any re-sits and re-takes you completed in August 2025. Any changes to marks from normal sittings and previous academic years marks, will also be available to view. Once you are logged in you will see a page displaying your student information, as well as your component and module marks.

If you are a final year undergraduate student or postgraduate taught student receiving your classification, you will see your:

  • Module marks for your first and second semester
  • Awarded degree
  • Classification

If you have any questions following the release of your results, please contact your School Office.

Good luck to all students accessing results on Monday.

More support if your results aren’t as you expected

Your Learning, Teaching and Support Officer

Your first port of call should be your LTSO – your Learning, Teaching and Support Officer in your School or department. LTSOs are dedicated to offering you pastoral and practical support at a School level. They’re there to help talk through your concerns and get the appropriate advice from your academic advisor if necessary. They can also put you in touch with wellbeing support if you need some extra help. You can contact your School office via email to get the ball rolling on a conversation. Alternatively, your LTSOs may have drop-in hours during the week. If you’re not sure when these are, you can email your School or visit in person to ask staff.

Central Wellbeing team

You might prefer to have a conversation outside of your School and that’s perfectly fine, particularly if you’re looking for help with how you are feeling, rather than academic advice. Our central wellbeing team is on hand 9am-5pm throughout the week. You can fill in a quick triage form to book an appointment with them. Alternatively you can call them on 0151 795 1000 or drop into the Student Life building on University Square.

24/7 listening service

We also have a 24/7 listening service provided by Health Assured. You can speak to them any time of the day or night. Call their freephone helpline on 0800 028 3766. Health Assured also provide the Wisdom app which includes options to speak to someone via live chat, email or video call. Download the app for Apple or Android, and enter the code MHA187679 to get access to support.

Guild of Students advice service

Your Guild of Students is also available as a touchpoint if you are worried about how your exams are going. They offer free and confidential advice which is independent from the University.
