A life-changing operation… and a new arrival 🐒 Ma A life-changing operation… and a new arrival 🐒

Masaya, a critically endangered roloway monkey from @chesterzoo, developed a serious mass on her foot that put her at risk of amputation.

Our Veterinary surgeons worked alongside zoo vets to carry out a complex procedure to save her foot and get her back on her feet.

With no previous examples of this surgery in roloway monkeys, the outcome was far from certain - but Masaya made a strong recovery. Just a few months later, she gave birth to her daughter, Lagertha 🥹

We’re incredibly proud to have played a role in this story, helping to protect a critically endangered species 💙

The Renter’s Right Act is coming on 1 May which may affect how you rent private student accommodation. It’s important that you understand these changes as they could impact your living and financial situation.

Here is a summary of the changes that will happen on 1 May:

🏠 The type of tenancy agreement your accommodation provider or landlord must give you is changing.

🏠 If you have a fixed term tenancy, this will change to a rolling tenancy.

🏠 This means that to end your new rolling tenancy and move out, you must give two full months’ notice in writing to the accommodation provider.

🏠 There are also changes to rules about landlords requesting advance rent payments from you and to rent increases, protecting you better from these.

Want to understand how this affects you and what to do this May?
