Careers Fairs are a great way to connect and network with potential employers.
Our Spring Careers Fair takes place next week on Wednesday, 6 March with a wide range of employers looking to speak to students who will be graduating in summer 2019.
Here are our top 3 tips to help you prepare for the fair:
- Do your research – Register and find out who is attending. This will enable you to devise a plan of which recruiters to talk to first and where the employers are located. Look at the floorplan beforehand so that you can make a plan of attack to see each employer in order of interest.
- Think about what you’re going to say – Prepare questions to ask, and also anticipate questions you yourself may be asked. Try think of specific questions about the job and company as this shows you have a genuine interest in them.
- Attend a ‘Prepare for the Fair’ workshop – in the Careers Studio and Careers on Tour bus around campus this week. Pick up practical tips to help you make the most of attending the Careers Fair.
