Research is vital to combat COVID19: to better understand, prevent, treat and manage the infection and provide an evidence base for how systems and populations will recover.
On Friday, 29 May, a webinar hosted by the Strategic One Liverpool Partnership for COVID (STOP COVID), will cover how Liverpool Health Partners (LHP) works with Academic and NHS members at pace and scale across the system to align research strategy and performance. The Strategic One Liverpool Partnership for COVID (STOP COVID), is supported by University of Liverpool/ Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) Centre of Excellence in Infectious Diseases Research (CEIDR), Clinical Research Network North West Coast and the NIHR Health Protection Unit.
LHP members have invested over £1.1M into COVID19 research, recruited over 2000 patients to associated studies and driven down time to set up research to under a week. The STOP COVID initiative has enabled volunteers to support COVID19 research, developed a research platform to support projects specifically aimed at our healthcare staff and has supported new research ideas being developed across the partnership.
At this webinar we will explore STOP COVID, their work to date and some of the research studies being delivered in the region.
