We’ve been working hard to ensure our campus is COVID-secure for your return.
Things might look a little different, but all the measures which have been introduced are for your safety and that of our University community. We all have a responsibility to make everybody on campus feel safe and welcome.

Play your part
Each and every one of us has a responsibility to keep each other safe whilst we are on campus, in our local communities and in the city.
You’ll need to follow all one-way systems and social distance markers. They’re there to help us get around safely.
When attending classes in person, make sure you arrive on time (avoid being early or late). Sanitise your hands before entering a new room and remember to wait 2 metres apart from anyone you don’t live with. It’s important to leave promptly and avoid gathering in a large group afterwards.
Remember that if you develop symptoms before moving to your term-time address you will need to amend your accommodation move-in booking, and isolate/book a COVID-19 test close to your home in line with government guidelines. If you are moving into University-owned accommodation you should email accommodation@liverpool.ac.uk to alter your arrival slot. The team will be able to arrange another move-in time following your isolation period.
If you are concerned that someone isn’t behaving in a COVID-safe manner and you feel able to challenge them then you should do so respectfully. If you feel unable to challenge them, or if you are not happy with their response, please email advice@liverpool.ac.uk and one of our advisers will contact you.
Face coverings
It is mandatory to wear a face covering on campus, including during teaching sessions and when you move from one location to another. We will provide you with two free, washable face coverings when you arrive on campus. If you are living in University accommodation you will receive these in your arrival welcome pack. Otherwise, you can collect them from key building receptions once term has begun or from Welcome Ambassadors who will be easily identifiable on campus. You will also find disposable face masks available within buildings if you need them. You can, of course, make use of your own face covering if you wish to.
If you cannot wear a face covering, we encourage you to wear a sunflower lanyard so that others are aware you are exempt. You can find more details about this here.
Evergreen Life App
Please download our dedicated version of the Evergreen Life App.
It’s important you download the app using our specific link or QR code found on posters and flyers around campus.
Please do not search for the app directly in the app stores as that will prompt you to install the public version of the app instead of the bespoke University of Liverpool version. Once you have downloaded the app you will need to register.
Simply enter your name, university email and a chosen password, before continuing through the slides where you will be asked to enter your student ID (this is the number on your student card). Once you have completed the app registration process you will see the University of Liverpool content within the app.
If you choose to give permission, we can use symptom data to spot any potential infection clusters on campus so we can quickly respond to stop the spread and keep everybody safe. Data will not be used to personally identify you, it will not be shared outside of the University, and you will not be contacted regarding any data you submit via the app. You can read our full privacy statement here.
It also really important that you get into the habit of keeping a list (on paper, on your computer or on your phone) of everyone you have been in close contact with. This will be really important for containing the spread of the virus if you test positive for COVID-19.
