Liverpool welcomes higher education convention

The University of Liverpool will welcome thousands of prospective students to the campus this week as part of a national series of events.

The 2013 Merseyside Higher Education Convention is expected to attract some 6,000 visitors over two days on 12th and 13th June.

It is one of a national network of Higher Education Conventions held throughout the UK coordinated by UCAS and supported by the Higher Education Liaison Officers Association (HELOA). The event in Liverpool has been organised by the University of Liverpool’s Student Recruitment and Admissions Office and Greater Merseyside Connexions.

Showcasing 125 universities and colleges

The event, which takes places in the University’s Sports Centre, features a ‘marketplace’ where representatives from 125 universities and colleges of higher education will be showcased. The event will also include presentations on a wide range of subjects available to study in higher education.

It is aimed at students from the Merseyside Boroughs of Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St Helens, Sefton and Wirral, as well as students from Chester and Cheshire who are considering applying for courses starting in 2014.
