Information about reasonable adjustments for exams

If you’re experiencing a disability, support need or medical condition you may be entitled to support arrangements within exams.

Reasonable adjustments, can include, for example:

  • Extra time in exams
  • A reader
  • A scribe
  • Use of a PC/other equipment
  • Rest breaks
  • A separate room
  • Use of ergonomic furniture
  • Permission to bring food and drink into exams

The deadline for implementing exam reasonable adjustments is Friday 8 November.

To find out more, Disability Advice and Guidance are running some information sessions that will guide you through the process and will cover; who is eligible, what supporting evidence is required and how the reasonable adjustments are implemented.

Sessions take place on:

  • Wednesday 23 October, 1.15pm – 2pm
  • Monday 28 October, 1.15pm – 2pm
  • Monday 4 November, 1.15pm – 2pm

Please note, if you already have a Student Support Information Sheet which details examination adjustments these support arrangements will continue to be implemented each year.
