As a student in Liverpool there are loads of great discounts and schemes that will help you save money. We’ve rounded up some of the best discounts you should know about.
Uber Eats are offering students a 10% discount on all orders until 31 December 2020, and £10 off your first order as a new user.
To benefit from this offer, follow these 3 simple steps: First, connect your account and enter your details and university email address. You’ll receive an email inviting you to the University of Liverpool profile, follow that link and enter your Uber Eats login details. Second, switch to the University of Liverpool profile (it is important not to miss this step or you will be charged full price), and finally place your order and enter your promo code as the final step at checkout.
Explore what the city has to offer with Independent Liverpool. From the lesser-known to the best-kept secret gems that deserve a place in your heart. Buy an Independent Liverpool card and you’ll enjoy discounts at over 100 of Liverpool’s best independents to eat, drink and shop.
Your Guild Student Officers have secured an exclusive travel ticket for students. The pass costs £320 for the academic year, or £365 for 12 months. You can also purchase termly travel tickets. These are all much cheaper than the standard Arriva passes.
We know that things are different this year and this may impact your travel plans, so we recommend you do the maths first before deciding which pass or ticket is right for you. Visit the Guild website to find out more.
NUS Extra is now Totum, offering even more exclusive student discounts on the brands you love. Buy a Totum Card and gain access to over 250 student discounts, deals and flash sales on eating out and fashion, tech and travel, and everything in between. Buy your card online.
Citybike is a quick, cheap and easy way to travel around Liverpool, with bikes available to use from many stations near the university campus and halls of residence.
Students can pick up an annual membership to Citybike for a special 50% discounted rate of £30. With an annual membership, the first half-hour of every journey is free – so you can hop on and off as many times as you like. Visit the Citybike website to find out more.
Buying academic books from your course reading list can be a big expense. Blackwell’s are currently offering a student price match guarantee on purchases from their campus store. If you find a lower price at Amazon, Waterstones or WHSmith they will match it when you make a purchase. They’re also currently offering exclusive book bundles for University of Liverpool students, available online or in-store.
Free to join and easy to use, Unidays gives you access to the best discounts online and in-store. Sign up to Unidays and you’ll get discounts at big name brands like Asos, Apple, Topshop, Missguided and Urban Outfitters.
We’ve partnered with Tate Liverpool which means that you can get free access to the Tate’s special exhibitions. Using your student id card, you can also get 10% discount in Tate Liverpool’s café and shop at the Royal Albert Dock.
