Student Support Services: How to access help if you need it

Student Services offer comprehensive advice, support and information on a wide range of non-academic issues including:

  • Counselling Service
  • Mental Health Advisory Service
  • Advice and Guidance
  • Disability Advice and Guidance
  • International Advice and Guidance
  • Money Advice and Guidance

The Alsop Building on campus is accessible by appointment. The team are also using Microsoft Teams to run virtual appointments. To book please contact via phone or email between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday or use the Online Booking System.

There are a number of resources available which all students can access at any time, including a self-help hub. You can find information about all our resources on the Student Services webpages.

Support in a crisis

  • If you require emergency help please call 999
  • For anyone experiencing significant mental health difficulties in the Liverpool area and you require immediate help please call the Merseycare Freephone number 0800 145 6570
  • If you are on campus and require immediate assistance you can call Campus Support on: 0151 794 3252 (43252 from an internal phone). In an emergency call 0151 794 2222.
  • If you are staying in University halls you can get help, support and advice from the hall staff
