Libraries, Museums and Galleries seek 18 students for paid-for roles

Libraries, Museums and Galleries (LMG) are currently recruiting for a team of 18 ‘Student Partners’ for the 2023/24 academic year.

This is the first year of this project and LMG are looking for 18 enthusiastic, talented students at any level of their studies, to join their team and work alongside them to shape the library of the future! You’ll get hands-on experience with archives and special collections, help highlight the University’s research to the world, and develop LMG social media and your digital content skills.

As an LMG Student Partner you’ll work alongside subject matter experts and experienced managers, working on projects spanning themes such as Collection Development, Heritage, Open Access and Research, User Experience, and Supporting Teaching and Learning.

The roles will provide a unique insight into the information and heritage sector, while allowing you the perfect opportunity to develop much sought-after transferable skills in support of your academic, personal, and future success.

Information about all the roles and the application process is available through Handshake.

If you’re thinking of applying, we strongly encourage you to attend one of LMG’s applicant drop-in sessions, which you can book through Handshake, to help you make the most of this opportunity.

The deadline for applications is Monday 21 August at 5pm.

The roles are based on the Liverpool campus and are a fantastic way to gain experience in the information and heritage sector, work on projects that interest you, and play a key role in our student engagement, all whilst earning some cash.
