9 social media accounts you should follow today

Whether you’re a new or returning student, the amount of info out there about university life can be a lot! Thankfully, we’ve taken the hard work out of knowing which social accounts to follow to make the most out of your time at Liverpool.

  1. @livuni First and foremost, make sure you’re up to date with all things University of Liverpool and follow us on Instagram. This is your go-to social account for everything #TeamLivUni.
  2. @livunihalls If you’re living in halls this year, @livunihalls will keep you posted on everything going on in University halls of residence, whether it’s craft nights, summer carnivals or Christmas decorating competitions.
  1. @liverpoolguild Liverpool Guild of Students is your Students’ Union and are behind so much of what makes university life tick. Follow them to find out about societies, volunteering opportunities and events happening at the Guild. Each year, you can vote for your Guild Officers, or even stand for office yourself if you’re looking to make a real difference to students’ experiences at the University and nationally.
  1. @studentmindsorg Student Minds are the UK’s mental health charity especially for students and their account offers words of wisdom and tips for supporting your mental health. Look out for their annual #UniMentalHealthDay too.
  1. @independentliverpool The original, and some might say the best, guide to what’s going on amongst Liverpool’s independent bars, restaurants, cinemas, theatres and more. Independent Liverpool also offer an app and discount card with a range of offers across the city.
  2. @culture_liverpool Liverpool has an international reputation as a centre of culture and rightly so. The Culture Liverpool team are behind some of the city’s biggest cultural events including Eurovision, the River of Light festival and much more. Their account is guaranteed to give you some inspiration for ways to fill your spare time.

On their page, the libraries team keep you up-to-date with a range of services, including e-resources, study support and the academic skills you’ll need during your time at university.

Find out how you can get involved in causes you are passionate about and help us continue to lead the way in developing a more sustainable future through volunteering, development opportunities, campaigns, activities and events, including Sustainability Week 2024.
