Ahead of the Liverpool Welcome kicking off on Monday, 18 September, we’re looking forward to seeing some of our students on campus for Discovery Day on Friday, 15 September.

What is Discovery Day?

Certain groups of students are invited to visit campus for a unique insight into life at university on Discovery Day. We hope you find the day to be a welcome and supportive transition into the University.

Who is Discovery Day for?

The day will primarily be aimed at mature, widening particpation and commuter students, as well as students with a disability. Eligible students will be invited to attended Discovery by email.

Why should I attend Discovery?

During Discovery Day you will be able to:

  • Visit the Here to Help Hub in the Victoria Gallery & Museum from 11am – 2pm. Student support staff, current students and student Disability Coaches will be at the Hub, so you can ask any questions you might have about university life. There will also be freebies and refreshments.
  • Attend your Faculty tour. As part of your tour, you will be able to see your school building, the Careers Studio, the Guild, Library and some key lecture halls. When you receive your invite to Discover via email, you will be able to book onto your Faculty tour.
  • Connect with other widening participation students
  • Learn about essential services and support
  • Explore campus and establish access routes
  • Find out about our community of students and our commitment to support

When will Discover take place?

Discover is taking place on campus on Friday, 15 September.
