Now imagine if you could access all the University services, systems and information you need quickly and easily from one place.
That’s the thinking behind our new student portal.
We want the portal to deliver what students really want and that’s why we need your help.
We need your ideas on:
- the content that’s important to you and other students – and what isn’t
- the systems and services you want to be able to access
- how you’d like to receive updates and information about University services
- essential and ‘nice to’ have functionality
- what you expect in terms of design and user experience
- if, and how, the portal should work on all devices (desktop and mobile) and browsers
- plus any other ideas you may have!
Ideally, we want to hear from as many different students as possible. Undergraduates and postgraduates. First years, final years, and everyone in between. Students from just down the road and those from much further afield.
It doesn’t matter what subject your studying, we are just interested in your ideas on how the portal should look and feel so you can access the information you need to feel part of the University community and get the most out of your time here.
If you’d like to get involved, we will be holding focus groups on campus between 12noon and 2pm on Monday 23, Wednesday 25, Thursday 26 and Friday 27 October.
Each focus group will last an hour and you will receive a £10 voucher as a ‘thank you’ for taking the time to share your ideas. Plus, we’ll provide refreshments and biscuits to help fuel discussions.
