PGT Welcome! Here’s everything you need to know

We can’t wait to welcome our new postgraduate students to the University this January.

Hopefully by now you will be set up and ready to start your studies and life here in Liverpool.

But in case not, you can check back at what you need to do on our Welcome: Getting Ready webpage. If you are an international student, you will need to complete your international registration on campus. You will have been sent a separate email about booking an in-person appointment to do this, so please check your mailbox if you haven’t got an appointment lined up.

To help make sure you don’t miss out on what we’ve got coming up for you, we’ve pulled together a summary of what you need to know about your Liverpool Welcome.

Welcome events

Welcome kicks into gear on Friday, 31 January with the Guild’s Refreshers Fair, in Mountford Hall from 9am to 4pm. This is an opportunity to mingle with fellow students – both new and returning – and find out more about the Guild’s many societies. There will be lots of your favourite student brands present and you’ll walk away with a free goodie bag. If you’d like to visit when it’s not so busy, there’s a quiet hour between 9 and 10am.

Other events in the pipeline include:

  • Wednesday, 29 January: Sport Liverpool is relaunching its climbing and bouldering walls and is offering free taster inductions and prize giveaways during the day.
  • Thursday, 30 January (6pm-8pm): Welcome to Halls! A special afternoon tea hosted in the Mezz social space at Vine Court to welcome new students moving into our halls at Crown Place, Vine Court, Melville Grove, Tudor Close.
