Virtual Wellbeing Week: Get involved

Wellbeing Week is back but this year it’s looking a little different!

As a result of the social distancing measures in place in the UK, we are going virtual. Each day this week we will be bringing you advice, tools, ideas and things you can get involved with from home to help you to maintain and improve your wellbeing.

Things to look out for

This week’s virtual events round-up is all about wellbeing. So if you fancy getting involved in some guided meditation, a virtual pub quiz or watching a recording of Romeo and Juliet at the Globe Theatre then check our round-up story for the best of what’s happening this week.

Other information coming this week:

  • Tips on keeping fit and exercising from home
  • New skills you can learn at home
  • Volunteering for wellbeing
  • Exam advice
  • And much more…

Get support if you need it

COVID-19 is having an impact on everyone’s daily lives. By following the guidelines on social distancing and staying at home you’re helping to protect yourself, family, NHS, and community, but a consequence might be that you feel isolated, worried, and anxious, or you could be concerned about your health, or the health of others.

In these uncertain times it’s important to take care of your mind as well as your body, and to make sure you get any support that you need.

Student Services (including Counselling and Mental Health Advisory Service, and Student Welfare Advice & Guidance) will be providing enhanced support through phone and email between 9am and 5pm each day. Click here for contact details.

Students can also access the Big White Wall 24 hours a day if you need additional support.
