Students attend three-day virtual work experience

Our wonderful students have been taking part in a series of three-day virtual work experience placements this July.

The programme – which is called Internship Experience UK– gave students the opportunity to learn from 50 world-leading employers and top educators, including Amazon, JP Morgan, Vodafone, PWC and Lloyds.

Leading experts and employers led sessions, and students were able to network virtually with other students. Those who took part were also given briefings and asked to complete job-related tasks.

Almost 1,800 of our students registered for the programme and you can hear from Nathaniel, who took part in Internship Experience UK, below.

“I found out about the internship through people posting about it on LinkedIn and thought it would be something to keep me busy for a few days and improve my employability.

“EY developed a case study for the interns to do throughout Day 2. On the last day we sent our work samples to another intern for peer marking. Then we had to submit our work to receive our certificate. I really enjoyed the work sample itself, the case study was interesting and required a decent amount of thought and work. It was a nice little challenge and made me feel like I was still at Uni which was nice.

“The best thing about the course itself was to just push my mind a little bit and I felt like there was a bit of normality back after being stuck at home for three months.”
