Win £250 in illustration competition

Liverpool Fashion Summit and Freedom Row are looking for an illustrator to bring their children’s book to life.

The book is about a six-year-old multiracial girl called Anya who goes into a magical vending machine. The book promotes ethical consumption and  provides parents, teachers and kids with a resource to learn about modern slavery, in an impactful, positive, and child-centred way.

  • Approximately 1000 words
  • 15 pages
  • 10” x 8” (landscape)
  • Paperback
  • For ages 5-8

Competition details

Submission guidelines

  • This competition is open worldwide to all professionals and enthusiasts alike
  • Illustrations must be in PNG, JPG or PDFs only
  • Dimensions 10″x12.15″ (including 1/4″ bleed and a safe zone)
  • Multiples entries are allowed
  • All works should be original and owned by you in entirety
  • Plagiarism will not be tolerated

Prize

  • The winner will receive £250 in prize money and appointment as main illustrator on the book. The competition organisers therefore only encourage submissions from those interested in collaborating on end-to-end illustrations for the book.
  • As this book is subject to funding, the winner may or may not receive monetary return for the complete illustration of the book. Illustrator will be accredited accordingly.
