A section of the paved area of University Square will be closed off for a period of time until work on the façade of the Reilly building is complete.
The University’s Facilities, Residential and Commercial Services (FRCS) Team is planning to complete the initial works within a month, however this timescale may be extended if needed as a result of the complex logistics of undertaking a temporary repair to the portico of the building. The permanent repair is planned to be undertaken this summer.
Whilst the works are ongoing, access around the area will be via Mount Pleasant or via the Alsop undercroft. In addition, the front door of the Reilly Building will be temporarily out of use, and signage will indicate alternative routes into the Guild of Students building.
The initial work may involve the closure of the Mount Pleasant / Brownlow Hill junction over a weekend.
All Student Services will remain open within the Alsop Building – please follow the temporary signage.
