University Halls teams shortlisted for Global Student Living Award

Congratulations to our Residential Services team who have been named as one of the five finalists in the Best Moving In Experience category at this year’s Global Student Living Awards.

The Global Student Living Awards for the UK & Ireland are based exclusively on direct feedback from tens of thousands of students across 200 universities and colleges each year, which is what makes the awards so prestigious and highly sought after.

The nomination recognises the collaborative effort across Residential Services, and reflects the hard work and commitment of the four teams; Accommodation, Halls Life, Pastoral Team and Halls Operations, who support students to ensure a smooth start to university life.

 

Sam Pope, Head of Accommodation said: “As Residential Services, the teams really collaborate to ensure we welcome students to their new home and are informed ahead of arriving so they know what to expect and who can help with what.”

“Students are quite often first time away from home and we feel it’s really important to make sure students have good information, feel comfortable, move into clean and decent accommodation and are able to easily make new friends and be part of a great student community. We support students before they move in, as they move in and for the duration of their stay with us and we endeavour to build on their life-skills, resilience and have a great student experience as part of a wider community.”

There were over 40,000 responses recorded this year, making it a fantastic achievement to be shortlisted. The winners of all the categories will be revealed at an awards ceremony at the Global Student Living Live event in London on 17 October 2024.
