Key events
- Welcome Hub: The Welcome Hub is taking place on Thursday, 1 February from 11am – 3pm in the Guild. University teams will be on hand to support you with any issues. You can also find out how each team can help you during your time with us.
- Guild Refreshers Fair: The Refreshers Fair takes place on Friday, 2 February at the Guild. The event is a great opportunity to connect with societies, sports clubs and charities who have volunteering opportunities available. The Guild will also be handing out free goodie bags.
- Love Liverpool: City Showcase and Part-Time Jobs Fair: On Wednesday, 14 February there will be a Part-Time Jobs Fair taking place in the Stanley Theatre in the Guild. You’ll be able to talk to employers from a range of sectors about work that can fit around your studies.
As part of our Love Liverpool: City Showcase and Part-Time Jobs Fair event, local employers will also be on campus to talk to you about career opportunities from Monday, 12 February through to Friday, 16 February.
- Feel Good February: Throughout February we’ll be running a range of wellbeing-themed events. You can find out more via the Feel Good February webpages. The webpages will be updated soon.
- Coffee and Chat in the Library: On Wednesday, 14 February head to either the Sydney Jones or Harold Cohen and join us for a Coffee and Chat session. Sessions take place 1-3pm. You can get a hot chocolate, meet the library team and pick up some goodies. No need to book, just pop along.
If you’re new to the area, or haven’t registered with a GP before, it’s really important you register with a GP as soon as possible.
Sport Liverpool
Sport Liverpool have a premium membership offer in place for new postgraduate taught student starters. You can access all Sports & Fitness Centre facilities for £189 for one year. If you’re interested, visit the Sports and Fitness Centre Reception. They also have short-term membership options available that are available online and can be found here.
Sport Liverpool are happy to provide health checks, group inductions, centre tours or wellness walks around campus, so contact the gym team on fcon@liv.ac.uk to arrange your free session.

Career guidance
Head to the Career Studio on University Square to access careers support and chat to our friendly team of student Career Coaches.
To book onto all of our careers-related events and to access careers resources, don’t forget to access Handshake – our dedicated careers platform, available for you to use to find the jobs you’re looking for both during and after your studies. You can find out how to get started with Handshake on our website.
Lastly, make sure you put our Spring Careers Fair in your diary. The event is taking place on Sunday, 13 March. We’ll be posting more details soon so keep an eye out on Student News.
