Congratulations on joining #TeamLivUni. To help you settle into life at the University, we’re sharing everything you need to know in one place.

Key events

As part of our Love Liverpool: City Showcase and Part-Time Jobs Fair event, local employers will also be on campus to talk to you about career opportunities from Monday, 12 February through to Friday, 16 February.


If you’re new to the area, or haven’t registered with a GP before, it’s really important you register with a GP as soon as possible.


Sport Liverpool

Sport Liverpool have a premium membership offer in place for new postgraduate taught student starters. You can access all Sports & Fitness Centre facilities for £189 for one year. If you’re interested, visit the Sports and Fitness Centre Reception. They also have short-term membership options available that are available online and can be found here.

Sport Liverpool are happy to provide health checks, group inductions, centre tours or wellness walks around campus, so contact the gym team on fcon@liv.ac.uk to arrange your free session.

Career guidance

Head to the Career Studio on University Square to access careers support and chat to our friendly team of student Career Coaches.

To book onto all of our careers-related events and to access careers resources, don’t forget to access Handshake – our dedicated careers platform, available for you to use to find the jobs you’re looking for both during and after your studies. You can find out how to get started with Handshake on our website.

Lastly, make sure you put our Spring Careers Fair in your diary. The event is taking place on Sunday, 13 March. We’ll be posting more details soon so keep an eye out on Student News.
